Any small calibre handgun should suffice. But make sure you keep it locked away, and the ammo seperately secured. Too many accidents happen in the home when handguns are left laying around.

Stun Guns are the best because they can be used with out killing the person and also can be carried around . Very usefull for woman who work late at night

I would have to agree that any small gun that you can handle would be enough. Just make sure you have a lock on the clip and that you lock the gun up if you are keeping it at home.
I also agree about stun guns, I think that I have seen more cops using them instead of guns but some of them are mis using them as well.

If you need a weapon for home protection then you should get a weapon which is good for close quarter shooting. I would suggest getting a double pump action rifle.

I think that the small calibre revolver is the best for personal security. I think that revolver is the most dependable system of the handguns. But of course everyone needs training to use it effectively.

I agree with Valda -a small caliber revolver would suffice but that is to be attained and put to use only after proper training. My choice would be a stun gun or a pepper gun.

The problem that I have with a pepper gun or stun gun is that it is not always enough for personal protection. If you have more then one attacker then you really do need a proper gun.
