When buying your tactical gear and other security gear is it best to go with a retailer or would there be an advantage to buying from a wholesaler. I have access to a surplus store where I can get deep discounts on many of the things I need.

I do not require too much gear as I offer personal protection services. I don't buy any arms from wholesalers as I prefer visiting a specialized dealer which can offer me the correct advice.
