When and where is it allowed to carry weapons while being a doorman at a bar or club? Or is it not allowed at all. I know that guards at some other places are allowed to a carry weapons for example at a bank but that depends on the city or country you're living. What kind of guards are allowed to carry weapons and where?

Speaking from a UK perspective doorman/bodyguards are not allowed to carry weapons, they have to abide by the law of the UK and are subject to arrest like everyone else. This does not mean of course that you cannopt wear defensive equipment

i think as long as its not a firearm in any country around the world you can carry defensive weapons like sprays..
not sure about the UK laws though..

You have to know the laws, and just because you can carry it does not mean you may want to carry because there are a lot of liability issues if someone gets your gun and so on.

If you are doing bodyguard service then you really should carry a gun. You are other unable to protect your client effectively when facing one or several armed people who would like to harm your client.
