The UK has several radical clerics who speak out against the UK and are deemed resposible for the radicalization of muslim students - are there such people in the US and would thier hate be tolerated?

Every religion has some form of radicals. The only ones you hear of are the Muslim Clerics because that's what the media are into right now.

I think Drew is right. The media is pretty much what is determining who we want to blame. There are tons of radicals groups all over the world but when the media points a finger on one of them we react as if it was all their fault...

I have to agree as well. I think most of the radicals are low profile compared to the media and the media tends to blame who they want and people go with that. When this happens it does not matter if the right group has been blamed or not.

Even in the US there are the KKK and militias that promote their views which are not exactly appropriate but the government let's them have their freedom of speech.

The question then would be that if we stand up and say something because we feel that it is wrong, does that make us a trouble makers or a terrorist in our own country. I do not think so. Actually the KKK in the U.S. has been sued twice and lost some of the land they owned in Idaho because they lost. So I highly doubt that the government allows them thier freedom of speech. No one really has freedom of speech anymore. Because if we did we would be allowed to say anything and not have to worried about being sued because someone thought we made an inappropriate comment.

It is not only in the UK that we can find such clerics. In Holland for example there have been several in the news recently. I think that they should be arrested on the basis that they are trying to spread hate and terrorism.

This problem is all over the world but there are few sects who are creating lot problem all over the world to quite an extent-lot of terrorist activities and destruction is being carried out-now that can't be approved of at any cost.

What do you mean by sects? I would hardly call hard line Muslin extremists a sect. They generally have many followers but fortunately not all of them are willing to die for the cause.
