The US and British are trying to force the Iraqi government to accept an Iraqi Oil Law that will basically give 83-93% control of the oil to two US oil companies and two British oil companies.

Is this the type of law the Iraqis should accept? Will it further hurt the reputation of the US and Britian in the Muslim countries? Will it add more hate into the fire?

Well, to be honest I think this is the real reason of the war in Iraq. I guess Iraq have no option but to accept the law otherwise I see the US and British Troops coming home and letting Iraq totally destroyed and able to recover because the US and the UK refuse to "help them" any further.

Thats the other problem , US and the UK are trying to get the oil . There are people trying to kill other people so that they can get oil . Then next they will kill people to get water .

It's something that's not talked about by MSM as they focus more on what the White House is telling them. They keep talking about Al Qaeda in Iraq...Al Qaeda in Iraq...Al Qaeda in Iraq...Al Qaeda in Iraq.

There was no Al Qaeda in Iraq before the US invaded.

it is definetly gonna spread more heatred among the muslims for britain and the US if what they have already isn't enough. i believe that the govts have no right over their oil and they are free to make their own law and sell to whoever they like to .. like India.

That's what Saddam wanted to do. He wanted to boost production and sell more oil because the Oil for Food program wasn't providing enough for his family. He also wanted to change the current practise of selling oil in US dollars to euros.

It's not about getting more oil for US and Britain, it's about "Control" of the oil. If Saddam was to produce MORE oil it would LOWER oil prices and cut the profits of the big oil companies. If they can control the oil they can control the production and thus control the prices.

Lets not forget that the US and British governments have spend an indecent amount of money in Iraq and they are looking for a way to get some of this money back.
