I don't think that a very accurate statement, I 'm sure they want business domination but phyical domination I think is out of scope. Yes they have local ambitions and its very sad that Tibet in in thier view as a strategical land mass

I think you spelled USA wrong :p

I would say the USA is acting more like a country that wants to rule the World.

China wants to sell every cheap product they have to the World though.

Wow very strong words here. Everyone who knows anything about China knows that there is a need to be the only supplier in the world, whether or not that means they want to take over the world is a different question.

I don't know about that! I don't think this is the era where you a country can just take over other countries for no reason but just expand themselves. I don't think that China is going to take physically over any other country.

China has told India that a part of India belongs to them . They are also talking with Nepal and may be looking to take over Nepal next . China has been giving lies for many years . I would never trust China

I don't want to demean the conversation, but never trust China is a wild statement and besides they make great food.

As someone else pointed out in the thread, I think George.W is th eman to watch when it comes to global aspirations!

China is one country which wants to establish its supremacy in the asian continent. The military competitor for china in asia is India. So they always spend huge amount of money in their annual budget. And the rest of the world is seen by America. Infact china indirectly supports pakistan for its cross border terrorism.

Please provide credible sources or proof that China is trying to take over the world. In her 5000+ years history, China has been taken over by Americans, Europeans, Manchurians, Mongolians and the Japanese. Not that it justifies it, but if China did want to take over the world, seems like there would be just cause.

I think that the Tibet example could be a poor example as China has historic claims to that region. I do think that they are the next superpower and they are trying to show their strength.

They may have the numbers but I think that when it comes to technology they can’t rule.

Besides Chinese are cunning enough that they are focusing more on how to make themselves rich and not go to war since they know that it would only hold them back.

In all honesty, to think that the U.S. is the only country in a position to do something like this is pretty arrogant. We have trade agreements with China and yet we are unable to get goods into the country like they are putting in the U.S.

So tell me why, you think it is not possible that they may be wanting to take over places. I would not doubt anything these days. This was an excellent piece of information and I quoted because I can see this happening.

It does seem that many people fear the Chinese and their intentions. I think that it is somehow good that America is not the only superpower in the world.

Duh, every government envisioning itself as a major player in the world want to seize control on a global scale. Why do you think the EU, originally meant as an economic organization, now plays a significant political role in Europe? Why do you think the US is in the Middle East and meddling with Arabic affairs? Even the IMF and the UN are much too "politicized"

Economic growth is surely excellent in China but otherwise development over here is not of par excellence. It is emerging as a economically strong country and nothing beyond that.

Of course China is trying to rule the world. It already has a major stake in the United States economy, it already controls Asia. The only regions it can't yet control are Europe and the Middle East.
