They already have technology that can scan the figerprints and retina or facial features of someone in order to identify them. Is the technology becoming too much like what was predicted in Orwell's 1984?

Would fringerprint and retina scanning be something you would endorse or is it going to extremes?

There is not such a thing as too much security measurements. I think this is a great way to identify a villain or a person that has a dark criminal background. And I also think that this will reduce crime at least a little bit.

The US use it already, when I travel to the states they perform a retina scan and a fingerprint scan, yes it is very George Orwell, but in todays society risks cannot be taken

I have no problem with this, afterall it helps to identify someone else that may have been stealing someones identity, and I feel much safer knowing that they have had my prints in the system since long before 911. No not in trouble, I have a work card to work in a Casino and they required an NCIC background check, which requires fingerprints in the data base. But even before that I now remember working for a Chevron that required employees to be fingerprinted in case there was a robbery.

Like some of you, I've no problem with this. These devices could be used for controlling access to areas, rooms and the like that are considered high risk security areas. These devices are probably the most accurate biometric availabe today.

If these type of measures can make our countries more safe then I am a big supported of it. There is so much crime nowadays so I would approve any measure that could improve this.
