I'm a partner at a new security start-up and I was looking for
some advice in regards to generating leads and selling executive
protection services. I've worked in security operations roles in
the past, but business development is an entirely new challenge
for me. Ideally we would like to offer residential patrol services
and permanent protection details to business executives, as well as
close protection services to entertainers when they are visiting in
the area.

I've seen a few local companies flourish in these areas, but I'm not
sure where to start. Off the top of my head, I could only imagine
approaching Fortune 500 companies' corporate security departments to
offer business executives our services, and speaking to talent management
companies and record labels, but these strategies could be described as
vague at best. If an Account Manager/Owner, or Executive Protection
Professional could give me any advice in this regard, it would be greatly
appreciated.
